The Cottonwood County Board of Commissioners held a brief work session last week at the county courthouse.
During the session, the board held discussions on the county’s budget for 2023.
“We’ve met with department heads and reviewed various appropriations, like for the Historical Society,” Board Chair Donna Gravley said.
“We got through most of the budget and it looks pretty good, but we haven’t determined a levy. We also haven’t finalized our new salary matrix, which will have an impact as well.”
The preliminary levy typically is set in September, with the final levy approved in December.
