One of the great fall traditions in Southwest Minnesota is set for Sept. 10 — the annual Prairie Winds Kite Fly.
The Prairie Winds Kite Fly is sponsored by the Prairie Ecology Bus Center. This year’s event, which occurs at the Jackson Municipal Airport in Jackson, is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and, of course, is an opportunity for people of all ages to fly their own kites. There is also kite-making for kids.
