Work to replace shingles at the Cottonwood County Courthouse is needed, and soon.
But at Tuesday’s meeting, Cottonwood County Commissioners learned that work might not be covered by insurance.
Buildings and Grounds Supervisor Mark Schenk noted that several shingles had been jarred free from the roof by weather events.
He added he had been in contact with a handful of firms, trying to get estimates on repairs.
He also has been in contact with the insurance adjuster for an estimate.
The courthouse was re-roofed in 2000.
