An early-morning motorcycle chase has led to a critical request from the Watonwan County Sheriff’s Department:
The department needs the public’s help in finding a suspect in the case.
The suspect, who fled on foot, is described as a white man with blond hear and is wearing blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt. Anyone with information is urged to call the Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office at 507-375-3121.
According to a press release put out by county officials, the motorcycle was spotted by a deputy at 1:31 a.m., moving at high speeds.
Eventually, there was a chase and the motorcycle turned onto the railroad tracks and was eventually abandoned. The suspect fled on foot. Although K9 units assisted, authorities were unable to find the suspect.
