It appears the installation of a new raised boardwalk at Mountain Lake is fully on track, thanks to a recent Minnesota DNR grant.
The $165,375 grant is at the limit of what the DNR generally awards through Federal Recreation Trail Grants. City Administrator Michael Mueller received confirmation of the grant in a recent letter from the DNR.
The project proposal included building, delivering and constructing the new 8×420 boardwalk. It will be supported by a helical piers system.
The price also includes the installation of a block bumper style curb railing.
