Monday’s board meeting for Windom Area High School was the end on an era of sorts for longtime Superintendent Wayne Wormstadt.
The board members wished Wormstadt well moving forward with his contract coming to an end on July 1 after a 14-year run at the position. Jamie Frank will take the superintendent position.
“I just wanted to say that I’ve had great people, if you ask the office people, if it’s a details-job, they don’t give it to Wayne,” Wormstadt joked. “I’m not a great details person, but I’ve had great administration and people don’t realize the number of good board members, just worked really well on focusing on the kids and what’s best for the community.”
