Lakers, Frogs suspended
Wednesday’s First Nite League game between the Mt. Lake Lakers and Lakefield Horned Frogs was suspended due to St. James city curfew ordinance preventing games from being held after midnight.
Wednesday’s game was scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m., following a Jr. Legion baseball game. However, the Jr. Legion game went into extra innings, and the First Nite game did not begin until after 9 p.m.
The game was suspended just before midnight in the bottom of the eighth inning with Mt. Lake leading 6-5.
The game will be resumed at a later date – likely when the Lakers travel to Lakefield later in the season.
