Deputies go 2-0 on foot chases

Cottonwood County deputies got in a good workout while on patrol, recently — and in the process made two arrests.

Shortly before 6 p.m. on May 18, deputies assisted Windom Police officers in checking on the welfare of a child in the area of 17th Street. While investigating, a county deputy noticed a Windom man who faces a warrant for an arrest. The 32-year-old Windom man ran from the scene and the officer gave chase. The man was eventually arrested.

A short time later, at the same location on 17th Street, a deputy spotted another man at the scene who also faces a warrant. Another chase ensued and this time a 31-year-old Mt. Lake man was arrested.
