The Windom Eagles battered Worthington pitching Friday afternoon, rolling to a 13-1 victory at Worthington.
The Eagles scored twice in the second, third and fifth innings, taking a 6-1 lead. Windom then blew the game open with a seven-run sixth inning.
In the second, Wyatt Haugen plated a run on a fielder’s choice and later scored on an error.
Josh Garrison added an RBI double and scored on a Henry Erickson groundout in the third. Then, in the fifth, Brady Espenson and Haugen had back-to-back RBI singles.
The Eagles broke the game open in the fifth. Drew Rothenberger hit an RBI double, Espenson added a two-run single. Three runs scored on errors and one scored on a wild pitch.
Espenson had three hits to lead the Eagles. Rothenberger, Erickson and Haugen added two hits each.
Chayton Struck worked five strong innings to earn the pitching win, holding the Trojans to four hits. He struck out two.

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey picked up a solid Section 2A victory Friday, blasting Nicollet 12-2 in Mt. Lake.
The Wolverines plated seven runs in the bottom of the first inning. Kilby Kremmin ripped a two-run triple and Sam Stade and Tanner Koetzle each added a two-run single.
In the fourth, the Wolverines scored on an error and a Caleb Simon RBI single. Then, MLAC added two runs on errors and a bases-loaded walk to Simon to end the game in the fifth.
Koetzle and Stade each had two hits in the win.
Simon picked up the complete-game victory, scattering six hits. He walked four and fanned six.

St. James 003 000 = 3-5-2
The Windom Eagle baseball team continued its hot play in Big South Conference Small School Division action Thursday, rolling to a 12-3 victory at St. James.
The game was called in the sixth inning due to weather.
The Eagles hammered out 11 hits, drew nine walks and had three batters hit by pitches in the win.
The Eagles got on the board in the second on back-to-back RBI singles from Cody Hockel and Noah Armstrong.
In the third, Henry Erickson and Brady Espenson added back-to-back RBI singles.
Then, in the fourth, Espenson hit an RBI single, Wyatt Haugen drew a bases-loaded walk and Armstrong hit a two-run double, highlighting a six-run inning.
Espenson added an RBI double in the fifth and Hockel scored on a double steal in the sixth.
Espenson finished with four hits in the win. Armstrong and Josh Garrison added two hits each.
Garrison worked the first four innings to earn the pitching win, allowing four hits and fanning four.

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey couldn’t get the bats going Thursday, dropping a 4-0 decision to Murray County Central in Slayton.
The game was called in the fifth inning due to weather.
The Wolverines only recorded one hit in the game, as Cayden Moody blooped a leadoff single to start the third inning.
Wolverine pitcher Evan Karschnik was relatively sharp, holding the Rebels to five hits. He walked two and struck out six in the game.
