Every now and then, a hobby becomes a little more than just a hobby.
That was the case for John Gibeau of Ceylon, who has become somewhat of a local fixture. Gibeau will soon become a bit more well known as he opens his new food truck business, Jo-Jo’s Barbecue.
Many local residents recognize Gibeau as a longtime employee and current office manager of the Jim Johnson agency of American Family Insurance in Windom and Mt. Lake. Those who visited the recent Windom prom found him in a different setting, serving guests from inside his food truck.
“I have always had an interest in barbecue and did some competitions,” Gibeau said. “I thought right now might be a time when people would appreciate having a dining option where they could do it outside.”
