Significant storm damage captured in photos at Storden

It appears the storm that whipped through Cottonwood County left a trail of destruction in multiple areas of the county.

Some of that damage was captured with drone footage shared with the Citizen by Lee Fast. The ground level photos were provided by Paul Johnson of rural Windom, who serves as the Cottonwood County Emergency Management Director. The worst of the damage reportedly starts at the Cottonwood/Murray county line and also in the Storden area.

The drone damage shows a 500,000-bushel grain bin on the Meadowland Cooperative grain elevator site at Storden. Also, check the May 18 Cottonwood County Citizen and Citizen eEdition for additional photos and information about the event.

More stormy weather is expected later today, according to weather forecasters. Check windomnews.com for updates.
