Red Rock Conference Event
The Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda/Westbrook-Walnut Grove boys golf team again tied for the low score at Tuesday’s Red Rock Conference Event, with the boys playing at Adrian and the girls in Mt. Lake.
HLOF/WWG and Adrian-Ellsworth’s boys each shot a 344 Tuesday, meaning the Dragons maintained a four-stroke overall lead for the team title going into next week’s final conference tournament.
Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey shot a 384 Tuesday and Red Rock Central scored a 412.
Individually, HLOF/WWG’s Sawyer Drent posted the day’s lowest score, shooting a 75. Carter Drent had an 80 and Brady Ross had a 94 for the Coyotes.
Devyn Rempel led MLAC with an 87. Joey Faber shot a 98 and Grant Oakland added a 99.
Charles Dammann led RRC with a 94. Matthew Horning added a 101.
For the girls, Adrian-Ellsworth shot a 401 to build on its overall team lead. HLOF/WWG scored a 421 and RRC had a 464.
Tess VanMaanen of Hills-Beaver Creek posted the lowest score Tuesday for the girls, firing an 86.
Elly Bang led HLOF/WWG with a 92. Madelyn Koep shot a 95.
Lexi Weber led RRC with a 109. Aryanna Weber added a 114.
MLAC’s lone player, Olivia Christians, shot a 105.
