Windom residents are already beginning to examine their household “junk items” in preparation for the May 21 citywide cleanup.
That’s when the annual clean-up will be held this year. Earlier this spring, city officials discouraged residents to refrain from bringing items to the curb prior to May 7.
This year, residents will get an extra break when they discard old TVs as part of the cleanup. At a recent meeting, the city council voted to give a $10 deduction for TVs. Each household can get the discount on up to two TVs.
