It was a banner day for the American Red Cross at last week’s Red Cross blood drive at the Mt. Lake Community Center.
The drive had a goal of collecting 36 units, but instead collected 52 units — 16 more than the goal.
Those 52 units included 32 whole blood units and 20 Power Red, of double red cell units, from 10 donors.
There were five deferrals and one incomplete whole blood unit.
The next blood drive in Mt. Lake is scheduled for July 1.
