It is official, if there is an emergency in Windom, the Windom Community Center is prepared to be a centerpiece in any response plan.
On the advice of the Windom Community Center Commission, the Windom City Council recently approved a plan to use the community center as a base site for whatever needs may arise. While not specifying the types of emergencies that may involve the center, the council agreed that the center’s main job will be to meet the needs of city residents, the school and hospital.
