The ground was white in Windom this afternoon, but this time it wasn’t an April snow shower.
No, it was an April hail storm. For several minutes, starting at about 2:30 p.m., marble-sized hail fell in Windom. It is not yet known how widespread the hail storm was, but it arrived early enough in the season that it shouldn’t have any impact on the crop — other than the planting delay for those who had already been in the field for a day or two.
