RRC fine-tunes design for new school

Details are falling into place for the largest project in Red Rock Central’s 29-year history — the construction of a new school.

On Nov. 2, over 57% of the district voters approved the $41 million construction project. The new school will be built adjacent to the athletic fields, wrapping around the junior high baseball field.

The cost of this new pre-K through 12th grade school was bonded for $41 million, but final bids will not occur until fall. School officials intend to keep the total under $44 million, but with inflation driving up prices, the final cost is still to be determined.
