Coyotes sweep MLAC, HBC
The Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda/Westbrook-Walnut Grove golfers earned a triangular sweep Tuesday over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey and Hills-Beaver Creek in a meet played at Fulda.
The HLOF/WWG girls shot a 210 team score. MLAC and HBC both played with incomplete teams.
For the boys, HLOF/WWG finished with a 173. HBC shot a 205 while MLAC had a 208.
HLOF/WWG’s girls were led by Kelli Renneke with a 50. Elly Bang added a 52.
Olivia Christians was MLAC’s lone girl, finishing with a 62.
For the boys, HLOF/WWG’s Carter Drent earned medalist honors with an even-par 36. Sawyer Drent added a 39 and Neil Kuehl shot a 46.
Devyn Rempel led MLAC with a 50. Branden Hopper shot a 51.
