Every now and then, the name of a key award is almost synonymous with the name of the recipient.
That was certainly the case when the Windom Lions Club received the Community Champion award at last fall’s Chamber Gala. Tyann Marcy, executive director of the Windom Area Chamber of Commerce stresses that the Lions Club is critical to the success of countless local efforts.
Roughly a dozen Lions Club members were on hand at the Gala to receive the award.
