In a move designed to keep Windom’s economic engine humming as it looks for a new development director, the city has hired an interim director, Jim Hartshorn.
Hartshorn, a Washburn, Wis., native, takes the reins in April, when director Drew Hage leaves for a banking job in Milford, Iowa. Currently, Hartshorn is learning about projects that he and the Windom Economic Development Authority will bring to a close.
