A concern about process has led to a delay in county action on a request for a conditional use permit.
The request came from Bennett Trucking, which wants to build a shop south of Cottonwood Lake.
Windom Mayor Dominic Jones told the board he did not feel proper notice of a public hearing was given to adjacent landowners, of which the city is one.
After review by Environmental Officer Alex Schultz and County Attorney Nick Anderson, it was determined the city was not given adequate notice. Consequently, a new public hearing will be held, with at least 10 days notice given.
