Street superintendent likes serving public, working near home

Seven years ago, when Jon Ketzenberg took a job with Windom’s street department, there were no thoughts of becoming street superintendent.

Jon graduated from Windom Area High School in 1996 and completed his degree in automotive mechanics at South Central Technical School in Mankato in 1999. After working in Mankato for 12 years, he took a position at POET Biorefining in Bingham Lake.

A after a stint in Worthington, he took a job with the street department. He learned he not only liked working near home, he also enjoyed serving the public.

“When you have a family, it’s nice to be close to home,’ Ketzenberg said.
