Three Mt. Lake teams competed in the 2022 Region 8 Knowledge Bowl meet at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall Thursday.
Mt. Lake 2 of Kade Wassman, Olivia Klassen and Ian Penner finished 14th with 79 points, while Mt. Lake 1 of Harlan Munning, Ben Bartsch and Landon Morin finished 16th with 75 points. Mt. Lake 4 of Aiden Penner, Devyn Rempel, Johnna Gardiner and Grant Oakland came home with a 19th place finish with 69 points.
Twenty-seven teams from 13 schools competed in the tournament.
Jackson County Central 1 won the tournament with 98 points, while Murray County Central 1 was second with 94 points and Adrian-Ellsworth 1 and Fulda 1 finished third with 91 points and JCC 2 was fifth with 90 points.
