Windom’s newest fire truck is finished and should arrive at the fire hall in about a week.
Windom Fire Chief Ben Derickson told the Windom City Council Tuesday that he and three or four other firefighters will travel to pick up the truck next Thursday. At that time, they will do final inspection on the truck and then be trained on how to run the truck.
“It shouldn’t require a lot of training,” Derickson said. “It is almost identical to the last truck we purchased, Unit 20.”
