Woman faces possible DWI charge after mishap

When a 2011 Chevrolet SUV went in the ditch at Windom’s west edge on Feb. 23, it led to big problems for a local woman.

According to police the vehicle entered the ditch along River Road, near Country Club Drive, at about 8:53 pm. The vehicle received minor front bumper damage and the woman was taken to Windom Area Health to be treated for minor injuries.

The motorist now faces possible charges of fourth-degree DWI pending results of blood tests. The case remains under investigation.
