This is a big week for the Windom Eagles Robotics teams.
Four of the program’s five teams are headed to the Minnesota State VEX Robotics Championship at St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center on Thursday and Friday.
The event is the largest VEX robotics event in Minnesota, with teams from high school, middle school and IQ competing under one roof. The competition — as are many of the meets around the state — is coordinated by staff from St. Cloud Technical & Community College.
The top finishers in each division earn the opportunity to compete in the World Championships in Dallas, Texas in April.
Windom has one team competing in the 60-team high school division and three teams competing in the 60-team middle school division.
To learn more about the state tournament and what Windom teams will be competing, see the story in the March 2 edition of the Cottonwood County Citizen on newsstands Wednesday.
