The Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey girls basketball team had little difficulty in its Section 2A playoff pigtail-round matchup Thursday night, cruising to a 54-12 victory over 10th-seeded Mankato Loyola in Mt. Lake.
The Wolverines started the game with a 14-0 run, then went on another lengthy scoring run to take a 31-5 halftime lead.
The Wolverines held Loyola to four made field goals for the game.
Julia Brinkman came off the bench to lead the Wolverines with 18 points. Brooke Naas and Annika Brinkman each scored 10 in the win.
