Pineapple Posse gets state robotics invite

Add the Pineapple Posse to the list of Windom VEX Robotics teams prepping for the Minnesota State VEX Robotics Championships.

The Posse copped a state berth after winning the skills competition at the Tri-City United VEX Robotics Tournament in Montgomery Saturday. The team of Ethan Brockman and Dylan Serreyn (Carter Allen was unable to attend), racked up 290 points in the skills event to win the competition, earning them the state invitation.

It was an all-around, good day for the Posse. The duo also were half of the runner-up alliance in the 42-team tournament, pairing with a team from Tri-City United.

The Posse also topped the field after qualification matches, going 6-0, then won their Round of 16 match 177-120.

For more results from the tournament, see the story in the Feb. 9 issue of the Cottonwood County Citizen on newsstands now.
