Westbrook-Walnut Grove stumbled out of the gate Saturday, dropping a 57-47 decision to Yellow Medicine East in Westbrook.
The Sting stung the Chargers from the outside, outscoring WWG 30-6 from three-point range for the game. That hot shooting, particularly early in the game, allowed YME to build a 14-point halftime lead.
Isabel Klumper led WWG with 21 points. Amelia Sikel added 11 points in the loss.

Red Rock Central built a comfortable lead, then pulled away in the second half for a 61-37 win over Murray County Central Friday in Slayton.
Playing without all-conference center Karli Arkell, the Falcons were able to force 26 Rebel turnovers, with the Falcons outscoring MCC 28-8 off turnovers in the game.
Lilly Stavnes led RRC with 23 points. Emily DeCock scored 20 and Sondra Rindfleisch added 11.

Southwest Minnesota Christian mounted a furious second-half rally Friday, claiming a 55-51 victory over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey in Mt. Lake.
The Wolverines held an 11-point halftime lead and built the lead to 15 early in the second half. But SWC erased the deficit with a run midway through the second half, then scored a pair of late buckets to preserve the victory.
Jaci Tollefson led the Wolverines with 19 points. Brooke Naas scored 17 in the loss.

Adrian-Ellsworth stormed back in the second half Friday, rallying for a 58-48 win over Westbrook-Walnut Grove at Westbrook.
The Chargers led by nine at halftime, but the Dragons answered with a strong second half from the field. Adrian-Ellsworth also outscored WWG 13-5 from the line for the game.
