The Windom Eagle girls basketball team started well, but Luverne dominated the final 28 minutes of the game Thursday night, cruising to an 81-39 victory at Windom.
The Eagles jumped to a 9-0 lead and led 11-8 with 10 minutes to go in the first half. Luverne then ended the half with a 39-14 run.
The Cardinals shot 57% from the field and forced the Eagles into 29 turnovers in the game, creating 37 points off those turnovers.
Kendyl Sammons led the Eagles with 15 points. Hannah Dauer added nine points.Â
