Huskies pull away from Eagle girls

The Windom Eagle girls basketball team couldn’t slow down a hot-shooting Jackson County Central team Thursday, falling 89-72 at Jackson.

JCC held a 10-point halftime lead, but erupted for 51 second-half points. The Huskies’ top two scorers, Sadie Voss and Macie Farmer, combined for 37 of JCC’s 51 second-half points.

Windom tried to keep pace, hitting six three-pointers as a team in the second half.

Hadley Sammons paced the Eagles with 30 points. KJ Huska added 12 points and Tristyn Maras scored nine in the loss.

Falcons at Cougars, postponed

Red Rock Central’s scheduled game against Cedar Mountain Thursday night in Morgan was postponed due to poor road conditions.

No reschedule date has been determined yet.
