A back-and-forth game saw Southwest Minnesota Christian score with 17 seconds left on the clock, rallying for a 61-60 victory over Red Rock Central Friday in Edgerton.
The Falcons took the lead when Sondra Rindfleisch and Lilly Stavnes each hit a pair of free throws with under two minutes to play.
SWC’s Rylie Fey hit a putback jumper with 17.6 seconds left on the clock, giving the Eagles a one-point lead. RRC then missed the front end of a one-and-one with 10 seconds to go and a final desperation three-point try at the horn fell short.
Stavnes finished with 17 points in the loss. Rindfleisch scored 16 and Karli Arkell added 12.

WWG 16-20 = 36
Westbrook-Walnut Grove’s offense hit a rut Friday as the Chargers staggered to a 40-36 loss to Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda in Westbrook.
The Chargers shot 22% from the field as a team and struggled to find offense in the lane, with sophomore forward Abby Wiggins out of the lineup due to injury.
Isabel Klumper led the Chargers with 16 points. Addeson Jenniges added eight points in the loss.
Patriots 54, Wolverines 42
Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey had a dismal night from the field Friday, which allowed Hills-Beaver Creek to surge to a 54-42 victory over the Wolverines at Hills.
MLAC shot 29% from the field and just 12% from three-point range. The Patriots also controlled the glass, holding the Wolverines to 22 rebounds for the game.
Jaci Tollefson led MLAC with 18 points in the loss. Brooke Naas finished with nine points.Â
