It appears Cottonwood County remains in the “high” level of community transmission for COVID-19 in the country.
According to the Center for Disease Control Data Tracker, the county is now among the 99.57% of all United States counties that are at the high level, compared to 79.48% a month ago. The CDC site can be found at https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker.
Current CDC data shows these totals for those who are considered fully vaccinated:
• 18-and-older — 66.4%
• 12-and-older — 63.5%
• 65-and-older — 83.1%
• 6,082 of the county’s 11,196 residents are fully vaccinated, a total that is 223 higher than a month ago at this time.
