Charger boys rally past SWC

WWG 29-35 = 64
SWC 31-30 = 61

The Westbrook-Walnut Grove boys basketball team pulled away from the free throw line in the second half Saturday evening, claiming a 64-61 victory over Southwest Minnesota Christian in Edgerton.

WWG trailed by two at halftime, but came out attacking the basket in the second half. As a team, the Chargers went 8-of-10 from the line down the stretch and 10-of-12 for the game.

Meanwhile, SWC struggled from the stripe, going 3-of-9 in the second half and 13-of-21 for the game.

Kole Curry led WWG with 17 points, with 11 in the second half. Austin Parker added 15 in the win, including 10 in the second half. Dan Kleven scored 12 and Cole VanDeWiele added 11.
