Wolverines topple Dutchmen

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey used a balanced effort to build a commanding early lead Tuesday night, rolling to a 70-40 victory at Edgerton Public.

Eleven Wolverines found the scoring column in the game, as MLAC shot 44% from the field while holding Edgerton to 20%.

The Wolverines also were able to force 28 Dutchmen turnovers, with many of those turnovers leading to quick buckets.

Ashton Toll led the Wolverines with 14 points. Kolby Kremmin added 13 points and Carter Olson scored nine.

Red Rock Central couldn’t slow down the hot shooting of Hills-Beaver Creek’s Cole Baker Tuesday, as the Patriots cruised to a 67-42 win over the Falcons in Lamberton.

Baker poured in 16 points in the first half and finished with 29 for the game. His hot hand helped HBC race to a 19-point halftime lead.

Corey Arkell and Joe Strock each scored nine points to lead RRC.
