The stork apparently took the scenic route to delivering the first baby of the new year at Windom Area Health.
Justin Seth Stahl arrived at 12:49 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 8, born to Mike and Julie Stahl of rural Mt. Lake. Justin weighed 8 lbs., 9 oz. and measured 19¾ inches. Despite being the first baby born in the new year, more than a week into 2022, Justin actually arrived early. Julie said Justin’s due date was Jan. 18.
Mike is a contractor with Pro-Shed in Mt. Lake and Julie is a stay-at-home mom to her, now six, children: Rebecca, 13; Naomi, 11; Jeremiah, 9; Jason, 7; and Kevin, 4.
For more on the family and first birth, see the story in the Jan. 12 issue of the Cottonwood County Citizen.
