The Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey boys basketball team came out firing Tuesday night, building a comfortable early lead on its way to a 59-45 win over Truman/Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain in Granada.
The Wolverines knocked down six three-pointers in the first half, which allowed MLAC to take a 30-18 halftime lead.
MLAC ended the game shooting 40% from three-point range, and was able to hold on to the lead down the stretch despite going 7-of-17 from the line in the second half.
Carter Olson led MLAC with 21 points. Kolby Kremmin chipped in 14 in the win.
