Two unoccupied vehicles involved in local crash

It’s a rare day when two unoccupied vehicles are involved in a crash in Windom.

However, that’s exactly what happened Friday morning in the Hy-Vee parking lot. The mishap occurred about 9:40 a.m. It involved a 1997 Ford owned by Kevin Kopen of Jackson and a 2009 Chevrolet owned by Richard Mau of Windom. Both were parked.

Kopen told police his Ford rolled forward and struck the Chevrolet while he was in the store. He also told police he may not have had the vehicle in park. Both vehicles received minor damage.
