The council formally supported efforts to land a FLAP (Federal Lands Access Program) grant worth roughly $400,000 through the Federal Highway Association and committed to long-term maintenance of the trial.
Essentially, the trail would connect the Windom Recreation Area with the Wolf Lake Trail near the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Once the two trails are combined, it would be a six-mile trail, according to Windom Economic Development Director Drew Hage.
