The Windom Area boys hockey team was strong with the manpower advantage Thursday night, surging to a 9-2 victory over Morris-Benson Area at the Windom Arena.
The Eagles netted five power play goals on four opportunities in the game, with a five-minute penalty on the Storm resulting in a pair of power play goals.
The Eagles raced to a quick 3-0 lead after one period behind goals from Wyatt Haugen, Wriley Haugen and Sonny Heil.
The Eagles stretched the lead to 6-0 early in the second. Cragen Porath scored on a 4-on-4 situation, while Heil netted a pair of goals on the five-minute power play.
After MBA cut the lead to 6-1, the Eagles closed the period with another power play goal from Porath.
MBA scored early in the third, but Brady Espenson and Karson LaCanne netted goals to close out the victory.
Windom Area outshot MBA 42-24 in the game. Goalie Dan Stubbe finished with 22 saves.
