Displays by Jordan Bussa and Mari Byam’s Ninth Avenue Salon received top honors in residential and business categories of the Windom Area Chamber of Commerce Lighting Contest.
In the residential contest, Jordan’s display at 894 13th Street was followed by, in order: Derek and Darci Jones (1805 Red Leaf Court), Patrick and Allison Musegades (1260 3rd Ave.), Jenny Quade (861 19th St.), Brett and Jamie Nolte (40539 Hwy. 71 north) and Brett and Amanda Mattson (791 Highland Road).
Meanwhile, Mari Byam’s Ninth Avenue Salon, located a half-block south of the Windom Arena, won the business category, followed by Pineview Assisted Living and Wolf Therapeutic Massage.
The top Christmas displays were selected via a vote by the general public. Cash prizes went to the top displays with the winners receiving $600.
The contest is sponsored by the Windom Area Chamber of Commerce and also the Windom Convention & Visitor’s Bureau.
