Falcons, Chargers each fall Thursday

Red Rock Central struggled from the field on the home floor Thursday night, taking a 52-39 loss to Sleepy Eye in Lamberton.

Sleepy Eye held the Falcons to 33% from the field. Meanwhile, the Indians shot 44% from the field, including 54% from two-point range.

Karli Arkell led the Falcons with 12 points. Lilly Stavnes and Sondra Rindfleisch each added eight points.

JCC 31-39 = 70
WWG 18-30 = 48

Jackson County Central set the tone on offense and defense Thursday night, rolling to a 70-48 victory over Westbrook-Walnut Grove in Westbrook.

The Huskies shot 41% from the field while holding WWG to 25% from the field. JCC also forced the Chargers into 23 turnovers in the game.

Isabel Klumper led WWG with 17 points. Abby Wiggins and Amelia Sikel each scored 10 points.
