Windom’s downtown streets take on a Charles Dickens feel at 3 p.m. today as Christmas by Candlelight gets underway.
The 4-hour event brings something for everyone — horse-drawn carriage rides from 4-6 p.m., real reindeer, carolers, business open houses (where folks can grab a hot beverage) and an appearance by Santa Claus.
At the Windom Public Library there will be kids’ reindeer games, a photo booth and snowman soup.
Also, a transit bus will escort groups around Windom to view the lights and decorations. The bus will leave the courthouse at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
