Eagle boys fall at Pipestone

A frigid night from the field doomed the Windom boys basketball team Tuesday as the Eagles fell 49-37 at Pipestone.

The Arrows held the Eagles to 26% from the field. Windom also went just 3-of-8 from the free throw line.

Abe McKibbin led the Eagles with 13 points. Dylan Serreyn added 10 points in the loss.

MLAC 39-39 = 78
AE 20-28 = 48

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey raced to a comfortable halftime lead and cruised to a 78-48 victory over Adrian-Ellsworth Tuesday in Adrian.

Eleven Wolverines found the scoring column in the victory, as MLAC jumped to a 19-point halftime lead.

The Wolverine defense also forced 23 Dragon turnovers in the game.

Carter Olson led the Wolverines with 17 points. Ashton Toll added 15 points and Kolby Kremmin scored 11.

YME 16-34 = 50
RRC 20-24 = 44

Red Rock Central went cold in the second half Tuesday night, which allowed Yellow Medicine East to rally for a 50-44 victory at Lamberton.

The Falcons held a four-point halftime lead, but struggled from the field down the stretch. RRC went 1-of-11 from three-point range in the game.

Joe Strock led the Falcons with 23 points. Ashton Holmen added seven points.
