Falcons rally for win Thursday

RRC 29-37 = 66

The Red Rock Central girls basketball team rallied from a four-point halftime deficit Thursday night, outscoring Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 37-24 in the second half to claim a 66-57 victory at Tyler.

RRC overcame 39 turnovers by pounding the ball inside in the second half. The Falcons shot 56% from the field for the game, including 59% from two-point range.

Karli Arkell led the Falcons with 24 points. Sondra Rindfleisch added 12 points and Emily DeCock scored 10 in the win.

RCW 18-14 = 32
WWG 24-29 = 53

Westbrook-Walnut Grove pulled away in the second half Thursday night, surging to a 53-32 victory over Renville County West in Westbrook.

The Chargers held a six-point halftime lead, but outscored RCW 29-14 in the second half.

WWG bombed away from outside in the game, hitting 10 three-pointers in the victory.

Addeson Jenniges rained in a career-high 16 points in the win. Isabel Klumper added 15 points.
