There has been an growing number of rural break-ins and suspicious vehicles in the Cottonwood County area, of late.
A few more such cases were reported within the past week. One example of this was reported on early Saturday evening.
At 4:55 p.m., Cottonwood County deputies received report of a possible theft. A vehicle was spotted leaving a farmsite in the northern part of the county.
In the process of leaving the farm, two batteries flew from the back of the vehicle as it headed north. Redwood County deputies were also contacted about the matter. The case remains under investigation.
