Windom Area Health will begin a remodel of the current Emergency Department in late November.
The remodel will include adding additional private treatment rooms, increasing the size of treatment rooms and increasing the size of the nursing and physician work areas.
The most significant change will be to trauma and patient bays, according to Shelby Medina, chief executive officer at the hospital. In order to complete the project, the Emergency Department has been relocated to an inpatient wing in the original part of the hospital.
