City studies possible shelter project

It appears 2022 could be a busy year for Windom park and street costs, based on a recent city council budget meeting.

The council recently learned that funds are already budgeted for a new Island Park shelter/rest room building. However, the project was put off in 2021 due to high building material prices.

City Administrator Steve Nasby said something may be constructed in 2022. Plans are to remove the old shelter and rest room structures this fall, after the ground freezes (to limit turf damage).
