Charges are pending against a 17-year-old juvenile male from the area for criminal vehicle operation-great bodily harm-driver who causes collision leaves the scene.
The charges stem from an Oct. 25 incident that occurred at about 6:50 p.m. The juvenile struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Highway 60 and 16th Street, causing bodily harm to the victim. The juvenile left the accident scene without notifying police or providing any information.
On Oct. 31, Windom Police received an anonymous tip regarding a possible vehicle that matched the description of the suspect vehicle in the hit-and-run.
Charges are pending following a review by the Cottonwood County Attorney’s Office.
