BREAKING: Windom voters approve operating levy renewal, vote down capital technology levy

Voters in the Windom school district have approved a renewal of the district’s current operating levy, but have voted down an additional technology levy.

Supt. Wayne Wormstadt reported that unnofficial results showed the first question on the ballot, calling for a renewal of the district’s operating levy, passed 474-286.

Meanwhile, the second question on the ballot, calling for approval of a capital technology levy to help fund the district’s technology needs, failed 400-359.

A total of 761 ballots were cast.

Results for the building referendum in the Red Rock Central school district, as well as the Mt. Lake school board election, will be known later in the evening.
